PCCGC Rules and Guidelines.
The rules here may sometimes appear very strict. They have evolved to become that way as a result of past experience by the site with participants who did not really care about our long term vision. It is unfortunate that the rules have had to become so strict, however, this site aims to respect and propagate the sound moral and religious principles inculcated in all PCC students. This is not to say that participants cannot express themselves freely. We encourage free expression within certain broadly accepted parameters of conduct. Basically illegal and seriously immoral or unethical conduct is not tolerated - and that is the same for most clubs and organisations around the world.
All activity should be lawful at this site. The word 'lawful' is not defined, and ignorance of the law is not an excuse at this site. So, for example, a clear breach of copyright is not permitted. Posting of copyrighted music is not permitted. A participant posting a copy of, say, one of Shania Twain's songs will be in immediate breach of subscription rules. The participant may receive a warning which will show on a 'warn' index. But a 'two-strikes-and-you're-out-system' will operate for serious breaches. Serious is not defined.
No participants should ever post any file that has an .exe extension to it. This is strictly prohibited by the people we obtain the web space from.
No mistakes or forgetfulness are allowed with this.
ANONYMITY - is not allowed at the site.
Anonymity is seen by this site as a serious security risk. It allows for breaches of copyright and sows the seeds for other kinds of unconscionable conduct. The no-anonymity condition is not negotiable and there are no exceptions to the rule.
Anonymity is construed by this site as:
Anonymous applicants and participants who become anonymous are removed from the site without warning.
GENERAL
2006-10-18 => On approval of your application to join PCCGC what is known as a 'subscription' is created. This does not cost anything. Within the subscription you become a 'participant'. There are participants with different status. Some may be friends of PCC, others are actual PCC people and some others may be relatives of PCC people. There are many categories. Due to the different needs of these groups access to the site may differ.
PCCGC Rules and Guidelines apply equally to all PCCGC users, including moderators and staff. PCCGC, it's moderators and staff members are not responsible for any damage or loss of data as a result of their offering technical or operational advice in any forum, thread, message, e-mail letter, or Private Message, or such advice by any other method of electronic or voice communications. PCCGC, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to remove the command privileges of any moderator or staff member at any time without notice. Without limiting the foregoing, PCCGC retains the right to deny service to any moderator or staff member who violates the Rules and Guidelines. Abuse of any other moderator or staff member privileges may result in the immediate revocation of moderator or staff member status and may also result in the loss of PCCGC subscription. You may only be registered as a moderator or staff member under one user name. Duplicate entries into the program will be discarded and may lead to loss of privileges and/ or subscription.
You may not use PCCGC to publish, post, distribute, or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, or other unlawful material, images, text, or information. You may not use PCCGC for discussions relating to illegal purposes or for the purpose of linking to external sites that violate these Rules. Please do not post links to any materials (including software and other information) that could harm (or is designed to harm) other users' computers or would allow others to inappropriately access software or Web sites.
The site cannot guarantee that posted files will be free of viruses. Participants are advised to take adequate precautions against virus infection. No liability for loss or damage will be accepted for virus infection.
At the same time users who upload files are duty bound to ensure that their files are free of virus infection.
WHAT'S IT ABOUT
PCCGC is a discussion forum, set up for the purposes of discussing issues related to PCCGC participants' their life and work etc. PCCGCdoes not allow any illegal activities and is not responsible for anything you say in the forums, or for any consequences that arise from what you say. If you break the law, you alone will be responsible for the consequences.
The site's content is not pre-determined. It is very flexible. Participants may decide what categories, forums and groups they form, insofar that it does not affect the spirit of cohesiveness of the site, or infringe these guidelines.
These guidelines may be modified from time to time and will be binding on all participants retrospectively. Participants may state reasonable objections to changes of conditions and guidelines.
PARTICIPATION
The Community is based on a participation model. When you register you are considered a 'Participant' as against a 'member'. Your registration creates a 'subscription' as against a 'membership'. The participation model means that you have an active duty and responsibility to promote the site's interest. This is different from a 'membership' model where members can be more passive. Your profile is an important part of promoting participation and it is a requirement that you supply a reasonable amount of information to promote participation. Failure to provide appropriate and reasonable information may be grounds for refusal of application or removal of status.
HELP

If participants suspect they may need greater technical skill for a particular post or feature, they are duty bound to consult the Moderators or Administrators.
